Accessibility Statement

Our commitment

Data Rescue Labs is committed to making cellphoneforensics.ca accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. We design and maintain this site in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.

Conformance status

We aim for WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance across all pages. The site is reviewed quarterly for accessibility issues using a combination of automated tooling (axe DevTools, Lighthouse), keyboard-only navigation testing and screen-reader testing (NVDA on Windows, VoiceOver on macOS / iOS).

What's in place

• Semantic HTML — landmark regions (nav, main, footer), proper heading hierarchy, descriptive link text.
• Keyboard navigation — every interactive element is reachable with Tab and operable with Enter / Space. Focus indicators are visible.
• Alternative text — meaningful images carry alt attributes; decorative images are marked accordingly.
• Color contrast — body text meets or exceeds 4.5:1 contrast against background; large text meets 3:1.
• Responsive design — the site reflows to 320 px width without loss of content or functionality.
• Reduced motion — scroll-reveal animations honour prefers-reduced-motion.
• Language declaration — every page declares lang="en-CA" for assistive technology.

Known limitations

We are working to address the following:

• Some contact-form fields rely on placeholder text alone. Visible labels are being added across all service pages.
• Decorative illustrations on the services hub use SVG without descriptive alternative text. These will receive aria-hidden or descriptive labels as appropriate.
• The animated stats counters do not pause on focus. A pause control is planned.

On request and at no cost, we can provide site content and engagement-related documents in alternative formats including large print, accessible PDF, plain text, or audio. Requests are typically fulfilled within 10 business days.

Ongoing review

This statement is reviewed and updated whenever substantive site changes are released or at minimum every 12 months. Our internal accessibility audit log is available on request.
